Everything you need to know about what you can bring on your shuttle journey
Standard Allowance
Each passenger is entitled to the following luggage at no extra charge:
1 Large Suitcase
Standard checked luggage size (up to 32kg / 70lbs)
1 Carry-On
Backpack, laptop bag, or small cabin bag
1 Personal Item
Handbag, briefcase, or duty-free shopping
What This Means
The standard allowance covers typical air travel luggage:
- 1 Large Suitcase: Your main checked luggage (approx. 75cm x 50cm x 30cm)
- 1 Carry-On: The bag you'd take in the cabin on a flight
- 1 Personal Item: Small bag kept with you during journey
This is equivalent to what airlines allow – if you can fly with it, you can bring it in our shuttle!

Vehicle Capacities
Luggage space varies by vehicle type. Here's what each can accommodate:

Flexibility Based on Passengers
Fewer passengers = more luggage space available!
Example: 7-seater van booked for 4 passengers:
- 3 empty seats can be used for extra luggage
- Could accommodate 8-10 large suitcases instead of standard 6-7
- Perfect for families with lots of gear or extended trips
Always declare extra luggage when booking so we can ensure adequate vehicle size!
Excess Luggage
What is Excess Luggage?
Luggage beyond the standard allowance of 1 large suitcase + 1 carry-on + 1 personal item per passenger.
Common excess luggage scenarios:
- 2+ large suitcases per person (extended trips, relocations)
- Extra sports equipment (golf clubs, surfboards, skis)
- Musical instruments in large cases
- Bulky items (cribs, strollers, wheelchairs)
- Multiple boxes or packages
How to Handle Excess Luggage
IMPORTANT: Declare at Booking
You must inform us of excess luggage when making your booking!
Why this matters:
- We assign appropriately sized vehicle
- Avoid disappointment on pickup day (luggage won't fit)
- No surprise fees or delays
- We can plan luggage configuration
How to declare: When booking, specify number and type of bags/items beyond standard allowance. Example: "4 large suitcases, 2 carry-ons, 1 golf bag per person"
Excess Luggage Fees
- No fee if fits in booked vehicle: If your excess luggage fits in the vehicle size you've booked, no extra charge!
- Vehicle upgrade if needed: If excess luggage requires larger vehicle, price difference charged (e.g., sedan to SUV = ~$20-30 extra)
- Volume discounts: Groups with lots of luggage often find private shuttle most cost-effective
Smart Booking for Excess Luggage
Scenario: 2 passengers, 4 large suitcases each (8 total)
- Sedan: Won't fit (max 3 large suitcases)
- SUV: Tight fit (max 5 suitcases)
- 7-Seater Van: Perfect! (6-7 suitcases easily, more if we use empty seats)
Solution: Book 7-seater van from the start. Cost difference vs sedan ($140 vs $110 = $30 extra) is cheaper than taxi for overflow luggage!

What are Oversized Items?
Items that are larger or shaped differently than standard suitcases, requiring special consideration:

Common Oversized Items - Our Policy
Golf Clubs:

Surfboards:

- Don't pack over airline weight limits: We can transport heavy bags, but you'll struggle at airport check-in!
- Don't pack prohibited items: Check airport security rules before packing
- Don't forget medications: Keep essential meds in carry-on, not checked luggage
- Don't pack valuables in checked bags: Keep important items with you
Airport Security Reminder
We transport your luggage to the airport, but you still need to pass through airport security! Remember TSA/airline rules:
- Liquids in carry-on: Max 100ml containers in 1L clear bag
- Checked baggage weight limits: Usually 23kg (50lbs) per bag
- Prohibited items: Matches, lighters, sharp objects in carry-on
- Electronics: Laptops may need separate screening
Luggage FAQs
What if my luggage doesn't fit in the booked vehicle?
This is why we ask you to declare all luggage when booking!
If luggage exceeds capacity at pickup:
- Driver will try to fit everything safely
- If impossible, we may need to arrange larger vehicle (causes delay)
- Additional vehicle upgrade fee may apply
- In worst case, some luggage may need alternative transport
Avoid this problem: Be honest about luggage when booking! It's much easier to assign the right vehicle from the start.
Will the driver help load and unload my luggage?
Yes! Luggage assistance is included in all our services.
What drivers do:
- Load bags from your door into vehicle
- Secure luggage safely during transit
- Unload bags at destination
- Assist with heavy or awkward items
What you should do:
- Have bags at your entrance/door (drivers don't enter homes for security)
- Very heavy items (50kg+): help driver if possible
- Stairs/difficult access: meet driver at vehicle if mobility permits
What if I forget something in the vehicle?
We help reunite you with lost items but cannot guarantee return.
If you discover missing item:
- Call us immediately: +61 427 143 612
- Provide booking reference, item description, location left
- We contact driver to check vehicle
- Items found are held for 30 days
Returning lost items:
- You can collect from our location
- We can mail (postage fees apply)
- For airport items: may arrange delivery on next airport run (small fee)
Prevention tip: Do a final check before exiting vehicle! Look under seats, in seatback pockets, luggage area.
Can I bring duty-free shopping in addition to luggage?
Yes! Duty-free bags count as your "personal item" and don't affect luggage allowance.
For airport arrivals:
- Standard luggage: 1 large suitcase + carry-on (checked and cabin from flight)
- Plus: Duty-free bags from airport shopping
- Plus: Any small personal items
We understand arriving passengers often have duty-free purchases – we accommodate this!
Fragile items: Keep fragile duty-free (alcohol bottles, perfume) in passenger cabin with you rather than luggage area.
Do children get the same luggage allowance?
Luggage allowance based on seat count, not age:
- Children with own seat: Full luggage allowance (1 large + 1 carry-on)
- Infants on lap (under 2): 1 small bag for baby items (diapers, bottles, etc.)
- Baby equipment: Stroller/car seat don't count against allowance
Practical reality for families:
- Family of 4 in 7-seater = 4 full luggage allowances
- Plus stroller, diaper bag, car seat = all accommodated
- Empty seats can hold overflow bags/equipment

What about fragile or valuable items?
We take care with all luggage, but have limitations:

- Luggage secured during transit to prevent shifting
- No throwing or rough handling
Your responsibility:
- Pack fragile items with adequate protection
- Mark boxes/bags "FRAGILE" clearly
- Very valuable items: keep in passenger cabin with you
- We're not liable for damage to improperly packed fragile items
